Problem: Error – No email address field is set …

Problem:
You may get this error on the form edit page:
“Warning: No email address is set, you will not be able to reply to emails and the autoresponder will not work.”
This error warning message occurs when you do not have an email address properly set for the form.

Solution:
The most common cause of this problem:
You may have changed the standard Email field to “Not available”, and may have made one of the extra fields the Email field instead. This can be done to re-arrange the fields a bit. But the mistake you could have made was set the “Field type:” to “text” instead of “email”.
The solution is to change the field type to “email” for that one extra field that you made for the Email address.
