Problem: the autoresponder emails are not sent out
Here are some autoresponder troubleshooting tips:
Troubleshooting – The autoresponder does not send mail
1) Make sure the autoresponder is enabled and all of the autoresponder settings are filled in.
see the autoresponder help page
2) Some people want to mix the Email Address in with some Extra Fields. This is done by setting the standard “E-mail field” to “Not Available” then setting one of the extra fields for the E-mail field. If you do this, make sure your extra field E-mail field type is set to “email” (not “text”) or the autoresponder will NOT WORK.
3) Some servers will reject an email when the FROM and TO address are the same. So make sure when you test the form that you fill out a different email address than the Autoresponder E-mail “From” address is set to.

Do receive any email at all from your form?
No, See the email troubleshooting help page
Yes, but not the autoresponder message(continue)
Have you disabled the standard fields for “Name” or “Email”?
If you set the “Name field:” or “E-mail field:” to “Not Available” then this is the cause. The autoresponder must collect the form submitters name and email address or it will not be able to send them mail. You will need to set the “Name field:” and “E-mail field:” back to “Required” for the autoresponder to work. Some people want to move the email field position on the form by setting the standard “E-mail field:” to “Not Available” then make an extra field for email, this can only work properly if you make that extra field of the type ‘email’, not type ‘text’. If you did this and used type ‘text’ try changing it to type ‘email’, then test the autoresponder again.
Do you still have the autoresponder will not send problem?
Make sure the email you are testing to receive the autoresponder is working. Use the E-mail test feature at the bottom of the form settings page. Make a test to the email you are testing the autoresponder. It might display troubleshooting information.

Did you receive the test email?
Yes: some servers will reject an email when the FROM and TO address are the same. So make sure when you test the form that you fill out a different email address than the Autoresponder E-mail “From” address is set to.
No: Your server will not send to that address, try a different email address at a different domain.
Are you testing with a webmail address like gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc.?
Try a ISP email address, not a webmail one because some servers like GoDaddy can block sending to webmail addresses unless you configure it in a specific way. (see next question)
Is it a GoDaddy server?
